Demonstration and Experimental Center
The main mission of the Demonstration and Experimental Center (DEC) is a presentation of plants and animals, growing technologies and animal breeding, methods and techniques of reproduction, etc., commonly used in agricultural and environmental sectors. The Center consists of five units: University Branch and Horse Farm, Libosad - ornamental garden, Demonstration and Experimental Stable, Demonstration and Experimental Field, and Demonstration and Experimental Glasshouses.
Scientific work – Many experiments are conducted at the DEC. Demonstration and Experimental Stable and Demonstration and Experimental Glasshouses are divided to sectors and units used by individual Faculty departments. Many diploma experiments are conducted by BSc., MSc. and PhD students on all workplaces.
Education – DEC is responsible for teaching of practical oriented subjects and some of them are directly supervised (Practical Training and Practical Encyclopedia). DEC also helps in teaching of theoretical subjects intended for students of FAFNR and other faculties of CULS. DEC also provides a variety of biological material for practical training in different subjects.
Cooperation with practice advisory service - DEC organizes lectures and practical training for farmers and other professionals, students in primary and secondary schools and other universities. The DEC staff provide advisory service for farmers and governmental and professional organizations.
