International Cooperation in Agriculture and Rural Development
International Cooperation in Agriculture and Rural Development (ICARD) is a three-year Bachelor programme. The programme is designed as the first level of university education of future experts in international technical assistance projects in rural development and agriculture. It has been created in accordance with the needs of agricultural development, environmental protection and at the same time the need to tackle poverty and ensure food security in developing countries.
In order to teach students how to prepare, manage and evaluate development projects, the study programme includes:
The studies are completed with the defence of a Bachelor's thesis and the bachelor's final state examination. Graduates are conferred with the title of "Bachelor" (B.Sc.). Bachelor's study programmes may be followed up by Master's degree courses in the study programme "Tropical Agriculture"
Agriculture in Tropics and Subtropics (ATS) - Zemědělství tropů a subtropů (only in Czech)
Agriculture in Tropics and Subtropics (ATS) is a three-year Bachelor programme tought in Czech language. It is designed as the first stage of university education for future experts in agriculture in developing countries, who in subsequent stages of study will specialize in research in specific disciplines and technical assistance for developing countries in agriculture and food industry. The study programme is based on the following criteria:
A Good basic knowledge of biological disciplines focused on agricultural production,
Economic and technical extension also focused on agricultural production.
Studies are completed with the defense of a Bachelor's thesis and the Bachelor's final state examination. Graduates have conferred upon them the title of "Bachelor" (B.Sc.). Bachelor's study programmes may be followed up by our Master's study programmes.
