A seminar on trends in animal reproduction, sperm analysis and cryopreservation was held in early May (3rd May 2022). The lectures were held in a hybrid form at our faculty (Prof. Kopecký's lecture room (A IV)). Among the distinguished guests who accepted the invitation and lectured in person were Prof. Agnieszka Partyka (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Agnieszka-Partyka) and Prof. Szabolcs T. Nagy (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Szabolcs-Nagy). Then, 2 days later, each of the guests gave a 4-hour lecture block in meeting room B326. The topics of the Partyka's lectures were Avian reproduction and Fertilisation of mammals: molecular aspects of gamete adhesion, exocytosis and fusion. The second block of lectures was led by Prof. Szabolcs T. Nagy, where the central topic was flow cytometry: pros and cons of flow cytometry; Applications in male reproduction and spermatology; DNA analyses illustrated with plant and animal studies Future directions in flow cytometry.
