The department currently guarantees 40 subjects in the FAFNR study programms in both the bachelor's and master's fields, as well as in the postgraduate doctoral study program. The subjects cover issues at the level of general genetics, molecular genetics, cytogenetics, gene technologies, population genetics and the application of these exact areas to practical plant breeding and breeding work. Since the breeding of animals and plants cannot be done without extensive experiments and statistical analyses, the department also provides teaching in subjects oriented to the establishment of experiments and their evaluation.
