WHAT? a three-part international test of academic English, B1-C1 (intermediate - advanced)
HOW MUCH? 2300 CZK (the price of the certificate included)
1) Listening with Comprehension (what students can hear at an English-speaking university)
50 questions – 35 minutes
Types of questions: 30 short conversations, 2 longer conversations, 3 lectures
2) Structure and Written Expression (standard written academic English on a variety of topics)
40 questions – 25 minutes
Types of questions: incomplete sentences, sentences with 4 underlined words/ phrases – selecting the incorrect one (identifying the error)
3) Reading with Comprehension (read and understand short passages at the university level)
50 questions - 55 minutes
Types of questions: answer questions about the five academic texts (300-350 words)
find the information in the text (the main idea or more detailed information)
questions about the specific words in the text
Total number of questions/ tasks: 140
Test duration: 1 hour 55 minutes – almost 2 hours
Maximum score: 677 (1st part 31-68, 2nd part 31-68, 3rd part 31-67)
3 levels of certificates - C1 (gold) 627 points, B2 (silver) 543 points, B1 (bronze) 460 points

Everybody will get a score from each section and a total score and the certificate (BEWARE – the candidate must reach at least 460 points to get the certificate!) quoting his/her score and a can-do level table.
TOEFL ITP® is applicable for admissions to short-term, non-degree programmes in English-speaking countries if the receiving institutions agree to use TOEFL ITP scores.
TOEFL ITP® is applicable for admissions to undergraduates and graduate degree programmes in non-English speaking countries where English is not the dominant form of instruction.
TOEFL ITP® is applicable for admissions and placement in collaborative international degree programmes where English language training will be a feature of the programme.
TOEFL ITP® can be recognized as an exam for B1, B2 and C1 levels and Business English and other specializations in English at CULS (level B1 and higher).
BEWARE – TOEFL ITP® scores are not to be used in place of the official TOEFL IBT scores. The official TOEFL IBT (Internet-Based Test) has 4 parts: listening, reading, speaking, writing.

Deadline for applications and the payment is 4 weeks before the date of the test.
POZOR: Neúčast je nutno nahlásit nejpozději 3 týdny před termínem testu. Při neúčasti na testu bez řádné a včasné omluvy bude frekventantovi účtován storno poplatek ve výši nákladů na konání zkoušky. Při pozdním odhlášení z termínu testování ze závažných důvodů (například úraz, náhlé onemocnění) bude účtován minimální administrativní stornopoplatek ve výši 400 korun.
The testing will take place if at least the minimum of three candidates apply for the test.
