The aim of the courses is to gain permanent knowledge not only of zoological systematics and hunting issues, but also specific knowledge of the fauna of invertebrates and vertebrates of Central Europe. The courses result in knowledge of the biology of selected groups or specific species of animals and their role in ecosystems, knowledge of their distribution, economic, parasitic and hygienic significance, economic and bioindicative use and species protection in the Czech Republic. Mastering determination to the level of the discussed taxonomic groups is certainly tempting. Who other than a student of university level zoology at the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences ČZU should be able to gracefully provide an answer to the question "something is crawling here, what is it?"
