Spatial activity of game

Cooperation with institutions > Spatial activity of game

We obtained biologgers from Swansea University, which are part of GPS collars, and we use them to monitor the activity of wild boar and red deer.

Projects related to the management of ungulates, in particular telemetry studies. For example, we are currently implementing a project to test measures against the spread of African swine fever.

We are in close contact with Agrowald, especially in the relationship between wild boar migration. We implemented the project Game Management in Southern Bohemia and the Bavarian Forest.

In the NPČS, we participated in the evaluation of data on the spatial activity of the red deer, which the NPČS obtained within its telemetric monitoring.

Projects related to the management of ungulates, in particular telemetry studies. These are, for example, the projects Monitoring of migratory move of red deer in the south-western part of Šumava - in the hunting grounds of LZ Boubín, or Reproductive characteristics of female sika deer.

The telemetry team is a member of these international groupings (EUROBOAR, EURODEER), which aim to facilitate the sharing of telemetry data within scientific groups worldwide.
