The Department of Game Management and Wildlife Biology has electromagnetic coils in which we can imitate electromagnetic storms, electromagnetic anomalies, manipulate the magnetic field, or imitate the conditions of setting the magnetic field from anywhere in the Earth. With these electromagnetic coils in Kostelec nad Černými lesy at the Truba Breeding Station and in the animal laboratory in the building of the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences, we can effectively verify the magnetoreception capabilities of animals under natural and extreme magnetic field conditions. We primarily focus on the verification of magnetoreception in hunting dogs and tropical frogs.
